13th ANNUAL TABA AWARDS (2014)
The Toronto Aboriginal Business Association Awards (known as the TABAs) began with the launch of TABA in 2003. The TABAs are administered by the Aboriginal Business Resource Centre (ABRC) at Miziwe Biik Development Corporation (MBDC).
Nominations from the Aboriginal community are sought in the Fall and Winter every year with a deadline at the end of February followed by the selection of the winners and a ceremony held in March, as close to the Spring solstice (March 21) as possible. There are four categories for nominees, including Business Youth (18-29) male and female, Businesswoman and Businessman. Nominators can nominate persons in all categories or some of the categories.
Minister Glen Murray addresses the 2013 TABA guests on behalf of the Ontario Government at the Gladston Hotel
